Hello world!

Hello reader,

This is the new home of my public blog. It will serve the same function as that of the old one. The old blog will be maintained, but only for posting in The Intellectual Free Market. Old posts would not be deleted, but they would no longer be updated, either.

For those of you who do not know me, I am essentially right-wing in my political orientation. I believe in human rights, but not to a sense of entitlement. I believe that human rights come at a price, that one must fight to show that one deserves those rights. I believe that government is a necessary evil that must be limited from expanding and trampling upon the rights of individuals. The welfare state is a state of slaves, as no political freedom can be exercised without economic freedom.

I abhor communism and socialism as examples of unlimited government. Tyranny is always masked as a small group acting in the best interests of the people. I do not believe in political correctness. I believe in the judicious use of force to assert the legitimacy of society and the rule of law over those who refuse to acknowledge them, or mock them to their own ends.

I believe in democracy, but not in a democracy where everyone has a vote. Suffrage is a privilege that must be used wisely, by people acting in their interests and in the best interests of the country. I believe that only those who have a stake should have a say in anything.

I believe in free trade, in striking down trade barriers where they exist. Everyone must be compensated as the market sees fit for their actions achievements. The true opiate of the masses is socialism and populism, where people are bribed with their own money to achieve the ends of a few people.

The entries to this blog would reflect all of those mentioned above, and then some. I will try to update as regularly as I can, and hopefully, you would find them interesting enough to devote a few minutes to reading the posts as they come.
